Beta Channel Update

The Beta channel has been updated to 24.0.1312.5  for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame.  This build contains a slew of awesome developer features. More on what's new at the Chromium blog.

Full details about what changes are in this build are available in the SVN revision log. Interested in switching release channels? Find out how. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug.

I used to love being on the beta channel 'cause it brought new feature sooner than the stable channel, but now new versions of Chrome come out and not much is new (at least over the hood, as opposed to under the hood -- or whatever the opposite is called).

Mouse-wheel scrolling is super-slow if you have Windows set to jump a page per tick:

Hi,
When I load a new tab, it either just displays the background colour or my most frequently used sites and refuses to render the page. I have to click off the tab and back on and it's all there to be seen. Very annoying! Bizarrely though, if i move my mouse around the page it is detecting pictures, links etc. and changes form accordingly

Having the same issue as Radder.

It's happened in earlier versions of Chrome beta but this release is really bad in this regard.

Hi

I also have the same problem as Radders, when the first Chrome window opens everything loads perfectly, when I click on a new tab, the window sometimes loads or sometimes just spins and if it does open only part of the page renders. Win7 X64.
